Wendy Kula has 25 years of experience in public relations, marketing communications, strategic planning, media training and public speaking.

Well-versed in media training and key message development, Wendy has helped many clients, professional groups and individuals learn how to talk about themselves, communicate clearly about their business goals and objectives, and hone public speaking and presentation skills. Whether preparing clients for a television media interview or training for a large or small venue public presentations, Wendy provides clients with the skills needed to best present themselves and their key messages.

Her wide spectrum of experience and knowledge empowers Wendy to assist her clients in assessing and addressing all of their communications needs. Her background in agency, corporate, non-profit and health care public relations has enabled her to design and implement results-oriented campaigns for a diverse client base – from health care organizations to business-to-business clients to not-for-profit organizations.

Wendy has served as an expert panelist on public speaking and message development at a variety of public relations conferences, chamber of commerce events and industry professional development venues. In 2005, she presented a daylong conference to a group of 250 physicians in the Dallas-area dealing with image management, key message development and delivery, clinical practice marketing and public speaking skills.

Wendy also worked extensively with Dr. James Montgomery, USA Chief Physician for the 1992 Olympic Games, preparing him for the multitude of media and public speaking opportunities related to this position.
In 2005, she directed a Collin County political action committee, SmART for ALL, in support of the proposed Arts Hall in Collin County (ACC). Working with political players, the media and the public resulted in a 69 percent vote “FOR” the new Arts Hall in part due to the diligent public relations efforts that she and her company contributed to the campaign.

She teamed up with Lift Up America (LUA) in 2005, Tyson Foods, LensCrafters, Pearle Vision, Ty Inc. and professional and college sports teams (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and MLS) in an effort to bring the gift of food, the gift of sight and the gift of hope to the disadvantaged a cross the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Strategic planning, event planning, all national media relations, and corporate sponsorships were just some of our responsibilities for LUA.

Wendy graduated from Baylor University in 1989, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism & marketing. She is an accredited member (APR) of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). She has served as an active board member of PRSA and former vice-president of the North Texas chapter and held numerous board positions for many years. Wendy is a member of the PRSA’s Counselor’s Academy and PRSA Health Academy.

Wendy is also certified by the Emily Post Business Etiquette Institute. She provides presentation training, media training and business etiquette training to individuals and companies of all sizes.

Wendy has also served on the public relations committees for the American Heart Association’s Women & Heart Health luncheon and the executive board of the Evergreen Gala for the American Cancer Society. She is a member of the Plano Symphony Orchestra Guild and served as co-chair of the PSO 2000 Valentines Gala at the Meyerson Symphony Center. Wendy is a graduate of Leadership Plano, class of 2000 and served on its executive board for three years. She has been honored with the PRSA national Silver Anvil Award of Excellence and the PRSA local Pegasus Award for a public relations campaign for the Preston View Homeowners Association. Wendy is also a Patroness for the 2019 and 2021 classes of the Frisco chapter of National Charity League (NCL) with her daughters Bethany and Grace. She serves on the “NCL Experience” and hospitality committees.

Wendy lives in Plano with her husband Bill, a senior-level public relations executive, and their two daughters.
