Sabre Holdings and Brooks & Associates Public Relations Land Silver Quill Award

IABC Southern Region award recognizes Sabre’s communications efforts and dedication to efficiency of travel industry distribution

HOWE, Texas (May 1, 2008) – Kathryn Hayden, senior media relations manager at Sabre Holdings, and Virginia Brooks, APR, founder and president of Brooks & Associates Public Relations, have been awarded a 2007 IABC Southern Region Silver Quill award of excellence for their entry, ‘Preserving the Efficient Marketplace – a Campaign to Transform Travel Industry Commerce’.

The winning entry encompasses Sabre’s year-long communications campaign to address growing travel industry fragmentation and the need to stay competitive throughout economic changes enacted by travel suppliers. Through successful media relations, the team laid the foundation for acceptance of an economic shift to balance the current system for all industry players, and to communicate and gain acceptance for Sabre’s Efficient Access Solution that preserved the world’s most efficient travel marketplace.

Silver Quill Awards are presented annually by IABC to recognize excellence in communication within a geographic region.
