Nanci Williams, APR

Nanci Williams brings more than 20 years of experience in media relations, issues management, crisis communications, and executive communications and counsel to both corporations and corporate clients of regional and international public relations firms.

In 2007 she served as a full-time contractor in the Corporate Communications department of Texas Instruments.  There she managed corporate media relations initiatives with business press, the metrics and PR measurement process and reporting and enhancement of the corporate Web site Press Room.

Previously Nanci developed and managed the strategic media relations program for Sabre Travel Network, the largest company of Sabre Holdings.  Sabre Holdings owns Sabre Travel Network, Travelocity and Sabre Airline Solutions, offering travel distribution, retailing and operational solutions for offline and online travel agencies, travel product providers, including airlines, and travelers.  In that role, she developed effective public relations activities to raise the company’s visibility among targeted audiences worldwide.  Some of those activities included:

  • Increasing national awareness of the value of the global computer reservation/distribution system offered by Sabre that is the most efficient electronic marketplace connecting global travel buyers and sellers
  • Launching and building national industry visibility for Jurni Network, Sabre’s travel agency consortium that offers unique travel products and unmatched marketing capabilities for small-mid-size travel agencies to help them increase revenue and provide great travel packages for their customers.  Jurni, which was initiated in October, 2003, now has more than five thousand users who book more than $2 billion in travel products.

Prior to her tenure with Sabre Holdings, Williams served EDS in both corporate and business unit media relations, analyst relations and marketing communications roles.  EDS is an $18.5 billion information technology professional services provider headquartered in Plano, Texas.   In these roles, she led a global matrixed team of marketing and PR professionals working to build EDS visibility as the technology systems provider for World Cup France 98 and a team of EDS media relations experts focused on gaining international media attention from a large-scale presence at Comdex, the largest technology conference in the world in 2000.  She also created thought leadership materials and speeches for management consultants of A.T. Kearney, the global consulting firm headquartered in Chicago that was acquired by EDS in 1995.

Nancil also brings more than a decade of experience in crafting public relations and marketing communications programs for corporate clients of PR agencies, including the international firm Hill & Knowlton headquartered in New York and the regional Southwest agency Read-Poland and Associates.  Clients served included Frito-Lay, JC Penney, Mary Kay Cosmetics, and the law firm Hughes and Luce.

An accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), Nanci has served in local, district and national leadership roles for the organization.  She served as president of the North Texas PRSA chapter and has been a speaker at the PRSA national conference.

Nanci has a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from Texas Christian University.
